The Four Developmental Tasks
Have you noticed that some people seem to be completely ordinary? They certainly aren’t bad people but their lives are bland. They seem pretty content having the same job for a very long time, perhaps for their entire adult lives. They go to the same vacation spot on the same week each year and even stay in the same rental property. Nothing much seems to change for them.
Other people stand out. It is obvious they are going somewhere with their lives. In a work setting they are identified as “hipots” or “hipos”; high potential people. And, because they stand out of the crowd management invests in developing their skills and talents by sending them for training and advancing their career.
Among that group, some emerge to be powerful. This is a much smaller group. These folks have the ability to lead and so end up being in the C-suite. They make the decisions that guide companies. Frequently, they live in big houses, drive expensive cars and have gardeners, housekeepers and even cooks.
Some of these powerful people reach the highest level and become people who shape the world. They are quite few in number but they seem to have discovered a calling to make a difference.
The Circle Blueprint is designed to move people along this developmental continuum. The first major step is gaining “Independence”. Most people are spending all of their energy trying to fit in to the world around them. They are concealing the very uniqueness they need to discover and embrace if they are going to stand out and become “hipots”. This is by far the largest group and may include 85% of people.
Those who have master “Independence” can begin to discover their unique gift; the thing at which they have natural interest and talent. Those who do and who make this their career have mastered the second step. They have found their “Power”.
Unfortunately, people who find their “Power” often become so full of themselves and come to think they are so special that no one wants to be around them. They make life all about themselves. It is only when they master “Humility” that they are ready to become truly great leaders.
Even those who have master “Humility” have one last step. If they are truly going to be as great as they can be, they must find their “Purpose”; their contribution to the world around them.
This is the journey of the Circle Blueprint System. We welcome you to join us. It is a journey for everyone regardless of who you are. It is a journey for you.
